Govintra comes with a set of companion plugins that add reports, widgets and housekeeping tools to the theme. They are optional: install only the ones you will use. They are downloaded and updated from this site: once your subscription key is entered under Options, General, Subscription, updates for installed plugins appear under Dashboard, Updates in the usual way. See Download plugin updates. Each plugin appears in the Plugins list with a “Govintra” prefix.
Widgets and front-end features
- (Govintra) A to Z: a widget of letter links to the A to Z index.
- (Govintra) Favourites: lets people bookmark pages, shows their favourites on their profile, and adds a Favourites widget.
- (Govintra) Notify: lets people subscribe to be told when a page changes, with a Notify button widget and a scheduled job that sends the emails.
- (Govintra) Services: a widget showing a grid of app and service launchpad tiles, each with an icon and label, optionally opening a panel instead of a link.
- (Govintra) Popular links: a widget showing a grid of pill-style buttons to popular pages or external services.
- (Govintra) Timelines: a Timeline page template for telling a story step by step, with colour-coded items and an optional filter.
- (Govintra) Media A to Z: adds document types and an A to Z to the document finder for files in the media library. See also Enable the Document Finder and Media A to Z.
- (Govintra) Most active: connects to Google Analytics 4 to show a Most viewed pages widget and a zero-hits report of published content nobody is reading.
- (Govintra) Chat: a conversational chat window for Agento Intelligence, as a shortcode or a button on every page. Needs the Agento Intelligence plugin; see Setup Agento Intelligence.
Reports
- (Govintra) Content report: CSV export of published content, pages and document details, for content audits.
- (Govintra) Comments report: CSV export of comments per post, with date filtering.
- (Govintra) Likes report: CSV export of liked content with counts and date filtering.
- (Govintra) Search terms report: CSV export of what people searched for, with frequency counts. Needs Relevanssi Premium.
- (Govintra) Accessibility checker plus: an accessibility audit of your content, flagging tables without headers, inline colour styles, poor link text and missing alt text. The older (Govintra) Accessibility checker, which checked theme colours for contrast, is being retired.
Admin housekeeping
- (Govintra) Pending badge: shows the number of items awaiting review next to each content type in the admin menu.
- (Govintra) Remove users: deletes user accounts in bulk from a CSV list, for leavers.
- (Govintra) Forum tidy: scheduled housekeeping for bbPress forums that permanently deletes topics and replies older than a retention period, and their uploads, sparing exempt forums and recently active topics. Set up under Tools, Forum tidy.
- (Govintra) Forum upload titles: labels files uploaded to forum topics and replies with “[FORUM UPLOAD]” in the media library so they are easy to find and clear out. Works with GD bbPress Attachments.
Third-party plugins the theme works with
These are not Govintra plugins; install them from wordpress.org or the vendor as you need them.
- Relevanssi Premium: strongly recommended. Better search results, spelling corrections, Did you mean, and the only way to search for staff. See Search options.
- Gravity Forms, with its Polls add-on: feedback forms for the Feedback widget, and polls.
- bbPress: discussion forums, with the theme’s Forums module for styling and settings.
- Classic Editor and Advanced Editor Tools: the theme uses the classic editor by default without any plugin, but Advanced Editor Tools gives editors the fuller toolbar the help pages describe, and Classic Editor is worth keeping so nothing changes if the theme’s setting is ever switched.
- TablePress for accessible tables, Enable Media Replace to update a document without changing its link, and Regenerate Thumbnails after changing image sizes.
- Advanced Custom Fields Pro is built into the theme and does not need installing.
- Agento Intelligence, Agento Digital’s AI assistant plugin, is separate from the theme: see Setup Agento Intelligence and AI Chat.
