Manage and configure search results Task

We have got good results by configuring Relevanssi as follows:

• Use AND search in the first instance and fall back on OR search if nothing found. This is good for staff who use few search words in their query and is better for getting an exact match. Check your search statistics to see if staff use a typical 1 to 3 words in their searches.
• Use fuzzy matching only when no results are found.
• Weight results to give higher rank to tasks.
• Record user searches.
• Index all custom fields.
• Don’t index attachments.
• Remove some of the stop words that you know people might use.

Ultimately, it’s a case of testing and tweaking, and of course, writing good content, page titles and keywords.
