- New PDF to page tool: editors who can create pages or tasks get a Media menu page, a Convert to page link on PDFs in the media library, and the same link in attachment details. It reads the PDF and creates a draft with headings, paragraphs, lists and tables, plus a summary as the excerpt. Contents pages, page numbers and images are left out and the wording is the PDF’s own.
- Turned on per site with a new PDF to page setting.
- Excerpt generator now writes to suit the kind of content: news and blog posts get a lede, tasks state what the guidance is for, and events, projects, vacancies, training and teams say what they are and who they are for.
- Excerpts no longer write as we, our, us or I, and no longer force present tense on news and blog posts.
- Fixed the excerpt generator not knowing the post type on a brand new post, so unsaved posts now get the right kind of summary.
- Removed the OCR shortcode from the shortcode list, as it is no longer offered.
- Updated translation template.
