A new “Force expiry date” setting (with a default expiry period) is now available under Options → Modules → News.
When forced, auto‑expiry defaults to on for news and saving without it is blocked.
An expiry date is required whenever auto‑expiry is turned on.
The expiry date (today plus the default period) is pre‑filled when a new forced news, news update or blog post opens, allowing immediate publishing; the save‑time default remains as a fallback.
The expiry time for news, news updates, team news and blog posts now defaults to 06:00 instead of the previous 09:00 hint; the save‑time fallback also uses 06:00.
