Govintra V5.3.18

  • Fixed staff missing from search results when the Enable search stemmer option is switched on. The stemmer trims words down to a common root so that a search for meetings also finds meeting. That works well for ordinary words, but it also trimmed people’s names, and because names are stored in the search index in full, the trimmed search term no longer matched them. Affected staff could only be found by searching their full name in quotes, and searches on a first name or surname could return colleagues with similar-looking names instead. Names are now left intact, so staff can be found by first name or surname as expected. No re-indexing is needed.
  • When a team or a location is deleted, the people who were in it are now updated in the search index straight away, so the deleted team or location no longer lingers in staff search results.
  • On hashtag pages, choosing a hashtag is now optional. Previously, if no hashtag was chosen — or the chosen one had since been deleted — the page came up empty, and any Highlight pages and Spots set on it were hidden as well. These now appear on their own, so a hashtag page can be used to feature chosen content without being tied to a hashtag.
  • Restored the tidy-up of a person’s teams. When someone is in a team and one of its sub-teams — for example both Comms and Comms → Internal Comms — only the more specific sub-team is now kept, since being in the sub-team already means they’re in the parent. This applies when a profile is saved, and duplicate parent teams are also hidden on profile pages, staff cards and search results for people whose details haven’t been re-saved yet.
  • The News updates listing page now shows a dividing line between the filter buttons and the list of updates, so the two are clearly separated. This matches the news and blog listing pages.
  • Made the text on the light/dark mode switch in the footer a little smaller so the control sits more neatly.
